Tapco
Inc. introduces its new line of molded EuroBuckets
Tapco
Inc. introduces its new line of molded
EuroBuckets in polyethylene,
nylon and urethane. These buckets are
specifically engineered to replace existing
European style steel buckets. While there
are alternatives to steel European style
buckets on the market, only Tapco has
given the nonmetallic option the proper
engineering needed to make the change
worthwhile. By keeping the same degree
of taper on the sides, the EuroBucket
maintains competitive capacities with
the steel counterpart. Wall thickness
in the EuroBuckets is comparable
with Tapco's CC-HD American grain buckets.
Thicker walls mean stronger and longer
wearing buckets. Steel European style
buckets have unique rolled front and side
edges that aid in the filling of the bucket.
Only Tapco EuroBuckets emulate
this rolled edge and therefore load and
fill exactly the same as the steel buckets.
Unlike steel buckets, nonmetallic EuroBuckets
will not spark or act as an ignition source.
This feature, along with their ability
to give or yield, under impact, is one
of the major reasons that 90% of the elevator
buckets used in the United States and
Canada are nonmetallic. There are four
sizes of molded EuroBuckets in
stock. Plans call for more sizes this
year with the full line being completed
in 2001. Inventory is being stocked in
Europe as well as the United States. The
worldwide acceptance of Tapco buckets,
as well as the popularity of the European
style bucket makes this an important and
exciting addition to the Tapco line of
elevator buckets.
